It’s been three days since touching down in Addis Ababa and most of the time here has been spent in on the job training and doing a crash course in the Amharic language. Sunday afternoon we went on a tour of the city, though. One of our stops was to visit Lucy’s fossil. Lucy was found in the Afar region, so I’ll have to keep my eyes open for fossils that may be waiting to be uncovered!
After visiting Lucy the group stopped for some delicious coffee and fruit juice at the Lucy Cafe next to the museum.
The fine day out on the town in Addis concluded with a cultural activity that is apparently very popular in Ethiopia: watching Premier League football. Man U 3 – Chelsea 3… a cracker.
